Ward 4 Palooza!

Last night was Ward 4 Palooza, my first-ever campaign fundraiser. We hosted a night of local music featuring musicians and bands from the neighborhood, and it was a blast!

Special thanks to hosts Craig and Sunny Douglas for kitting out their barn with everything you need for a good time: food, drink, amps, and shelter from an ominous but fleeting thunderstorm.

A huge thank you to the musicians that gave their time and talent as well: Chris O’Donnell (from The Better Things), The Rusty Chords, and The Pathological Outliars, as well as guest perfomers Ben Harman and Brian Callahan.

And of course, a huge thank you to everyone who attended — let’s do it again next year!

This was a night without politics (which is probably why everyone had a good time), but I will say this: music brings people together in part because it makes us open up and really listen. It’s a skill worth leaning into right now.

In case you missed it, here are a couple highlights to enjoy.
