Newburyport has seen significant change over the centuries, but we are always at our best when we join together for the common good. As your city councillor, I pledge to listen to and learn from the people of Ward 4, to approach decision-making with care, and to use my voice to uphold the values of our community.

In particular, I will focus on making Newburyport more:

NEWburyport for everyone

Affordable

The housing crisis is real, and it threatens to make life in Newburyport unaffordable for many of us. In addition to supporting smart development and affordable housing, I also want to find ways to alleviate the tax burden for our most vulnerable residents and support those in need with targeted services.

Sustainable

The decisions we make today must help Newburyport weather the consequences of climate change and grow responsibly. A more sustainable Newburyport is also a more livable one, with infrastructure that supports pedestrians, cyclists, and public transit.

Inclusive

Whether you’ve lived here for decades or just moved in, there is a place for you here. I will support policies that make Newburyport more accessible for people with disabilities and more welcoming for those who are too often marginalized, including people of color, our LGBTQ+ neighbors, and anyone struggling to make ends meet.

Collaborative

City government isn’t always easy to follow — but it should be. I’m committed to keeping Ward 4 residents informed about the issues affecting our neighborhood and the city so you can actively participate in shaping the future of Newburyport.
